How to get rid of chronic tension-type headache?

Sometimes I lose sleep. My quality of sleep is poor cos I do not feel awake energetic as I did as a child.

i recommend seeing a chiropractor, especially if you've never tried this path before. pain head many times (especially tension headaches) are caused by misalignments of the vertebrae in his neck. these vertebrae have many muscles attached to that then upload and are also connected to the skull (splenius former captius). when the vertebra that join muscles not in the correct position an imbalance in the muscles which causes them to spasm, or be chronically tense - depending on how long the vertebra has been out of alignment. this misalignment can also put pressure on the nerves exiting the spine in the area, causing a pinched nerve. This nerve is thus over-stimulated and does what controls to be over-stimulated, in this case the muscles then spasm. it can also cause referred pain, numbness, tingling or tightening of shoulders or even all the way up the arms. these spasms in the neck muscles, then cause headaches (since many are attached to the skull). many Sometimes it is originally caused by a previous car accident (whiplash), poor posture over time (sitting at a computer 40 hours a week), stress, etc. to a chiropractor will be able to determine the cause, find these misalignments, and correct them to restore the correct position of the spine - thus alleviating muscle tension and headaches. which in turn allow you to get a good night's sleep and have that energy back!
