Rebound Migraines
Rebound Migraines
I am a 21 year old female who has had bad migraines since I was in high school. I started on birth control when I was 17; went through 3 different types before I found Yaz... the only pill that didn't make me want to kill myself. I usually have about 2 migraines a week..sometimes maybe once a month (although not often). Lately, I've been having Rebound Headaches and the imitrex I take has not been working. I have also been on amitriptyline for prevention of migraines...I didn't think it helped much. I just got Mirena today. My doctor told me since I have aura's with migraines this would be the best birth control option for me because it doesn't have estrogen.. it has progesterone. She mentioned how its recommended for Migraine Sufferers with migraines...but I can't find much about it except that it can cause migraines. Has anyone else been a migraine sufferer and tried this? Thank you!!!
They say it is supposed to help with migraines, but most people say it causes them.
