Migrane Headache Relief
I had this splitting headache so I took an advil 3 hours before working out and decided to workout anyways(Triceps and biceps with dumbells and pushups). While doing the exercises I had temporary relief when my blood rushed to my head while my muscles were contracting after several reps, but the relief only lasted a second or 2 till I switched arms etc. In the begining I found it really difficults, painful, stressing and distracting to workout with a migrane but towards the end I felt relieved of my headache. When I was finally done (about an hour) my headache was completely gone. So my question here today is how my headache went away despite exercising intensely for an hour? Was it the a dvil I took 3 hours before working out or was it in fact the exercise that rid me of my migrane/headache?
I have no idea whether or not the advil helped you, but one thing I DO know is that when you work out, your body releases endorphins. Endorphins are the body's natural pain killers, and they can be VERY effective depending on how many you release. Things that trigger the release of endorphins include exercise, pain, excitement, consumption of spicy food, and orgasm. (copied that last line straight from wikipedia)
