Migraine Home Treatment
Is this right? advice about headaches and thyroid problems, please!?Because radioactive iodine treatment for thyroid overative I'm low level. If you come home from work yesterday due to a really bad headache which I thought was a migraine cos it hurts on one side of my head and had nausea with it. I went to see my doctor this morning and he said it was probably a Tension Headache because I didn't have my lights or spots vision. I explained that it was much worse than the headaches always, I have started to cause thyroid problems and that didn't seem to move even with nurofens taking. So it was prescribed 7.5 mg Mobic to take when you have another headache. Has anyone had any experience with this drug? From what I've read its usually prescribed for arthritic conditions! You need not have lights or spots in the vision of being a migraine?
I do not know about the drug, but certainly see another doctor, because he knows what he is talking. Migraines do NOT have to have flashing lights (auras) or spots in your vision. If you went to one side and very bad with nausea most cases, it is a migraine. Tension headaches are usually two sides originating at the back of the neck. Thyroid problems can cause migraines. I'd get a second opinion or better yet, see a neurologist who specializes in migraine.
