Hormonal Migraine
what is the best way to treat a hormonal migraine without prescription drugs?Sometime life is a headache, and Sometimes other people are headaches too. I can not help with any of them, but there is hope if your headaches are related to hormones ... and many of them are. Here is a free week of headache .... All varieties ... How migraine relate to hormones Description A migraine is a vascular headache which is the excessive dilation or contraction of blood vessels in the brain. Common and classic are the two types of migraines. Gradually the common migraine, produces a sharp pain that can last two to seventy-two hours. Often centered on the temple or behind one ear, the pain is severe. Alternatively you can start at the back head and extends to an entire side of the head (the word "migraine" comes from the hemikrania Greek, meaning "half head"). Nausea, vomiting, blurred vision, vision and tingling and numbness in the extremities, which can last up to eighteen hours usually accompanies a migraine. A classic migraine is preceded by a set of symptoms known as aura, which can include slurred speech, weakness and changes in the senses of sight and / or odor. Causes Of Migraine headaches One of the factors behind a higher incidence of migraines in women may be fluctuations in hormone levels estrogen. At the time of menstruation, when there is a hormonal imbalance, women often suffer from migraines. Any number of things can trigger a crisis migraine in a susceptible person, including allergies, stress, constipation, excessive or too little sleep, liver malfunction, emotional changes, the sun's glare, hormonal changes, flashing lights, lack of exercise, and changes in barometric pressure. Dr. John Lee states that the low blood sugar is often associated with migraines, and studies have shown that blood sugar levels are low during a migraine attack, and the lower the sugar level in the blood, the more severe the headache. Dental problems may also be a factor. Smoking can cause an attack because the nicotine and carbon monoxide smoke cigarette, affects the blood vessels - the nicotine constricts them while the carbon monoxide tends to expand. Foods can also trigger an attack. Some of the most common offenders are chocolate, citrus fruits, alcohol (especially red wine), and any food that is pickled, cured, age, fermented yeast, or deterioration. Natural progesterone cream and Migraine Headaches topical transdermal application of progesterone immediately to the appearance of a headache, has made abortion a significant number of migraines. A suggested amount is up to 1 teaspoon of progesterone cream. This and many times the treatment simple and effective is worth trying with the majority of women who suffer from migraine. Migraine headaches that occur with regularity in women only sometimes premenstrual are most likely due to estrogen dominance. Estrogen causes dilation of blood vessels, and therefore contributes to the cause (s) of migraine. Dr. John Lee states that one of the many virtues of natural progesterone helps restore normal vascular tone, counteracting the blood vessel dilation that causes headache. He claims that once again, progesterone is safe and treats the cause of a normal physiological manner. The more dangerous pharmaceutical drugs can be reserved for the rare case that does not respond fully to progesterone. ------------------------------ -------------------- -------------------------- ~ reference to menstrual migraine is linked to Magnesium Deficiency NEW YORK (Reuters Health) May 17 - Women with menstrual migraine have a high incidence of ionized magnesium deficiency and elevated ionized calcium / ionized magnesium ratio, confirming the hypothesis that ionized magnesium is involved in the development of menstrual migraine, researchers report. Dr. Height M. Burton and colleagues at the State University of New York Downstate Medical Center, Brooklyn, prospectively studied 61 women with menstrual migraine. Researchers measured ionized magnesium, total magnesium, and ionized calcium and ionized calcium was calculated / ionized magnesium. During the menstrual migraine, 45% of women had ionized magnesium deficiency compared with 15% for menstrual migraine and 14% during menstruation without a migraine. Between periods and times when had no headaches, 15% of women had an ionized magnesium deficiency, the researchers found. Need more information? E-mail! Blessings ~ Michelle Jones
